I make process-based collages by assembling recurrent shapes, textures and backgrounds into compositions that create landscapes, natural scenes, viewpoints and other situations. I selectively remove the discarded images from their original context, in a sense of disarranging various identities. The use of images allows an uninterrupted circulation within my environment to create anddevelop new pieces including other mediums related with the collage.
Opportunities to appreciate media and communication materials are time sensitive. Once observed, printed materials, magazines and books, are archived or become waste. I selectively remove the discarded images from their original context, in a sense of disarranging various identities. I tend to balance my decisions concerning inclusion versus exclusion. Most importantly, the use of images allows a uninterrupted circulation within my environment to create and develop new pieces including other mediums related with collage such as the stencil, graffiti, mix media including installation and sculpture. Upon completion, from the myriad possibilities, the images have been reborn for new interpretation.
